Charlena Edge

Charlena Edge is a career counterintelligence and security officer with 28 years in the Intelligence Community.

She is currently the Chief of Operations in Mission Integration at the National Counterintelligence and Security Center. Prior to that, she was on an assignment from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), to the Department of Health and Human Services working to establish a counterintelligence and insider threat program for the National Institutes of Health, in an effort to protect U.S. health programs and research integrity. Prior to joining the ODNI, Charlena worked for the Central Intelligence Agency. She holds a BS in Intelligence Studies from American Public University, an MS in Therapeutic Herbalism from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, and an MS in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University. Charlena is the Treasurer for the Washington, DC area chapter of the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE), and is an Adjunct Professor at American University and an Adjunct Lecturer at Georgetown University.


Charlena spends her spare time researching and working with medicinal plants and owns a small business manufacturing and selling botanically-based skin care products.
