William Habeeb

William Mark Habeeb has taught for 18 years in the MSFS program and has worked for over 30 years as an international consultant specializing in government relations, foreign policy and negotiation strategy.

Dr. Habeeb has been an adviser to the Negotiations Support Unit of the Palestinian National Authority; the Foreign Ministries of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Panama; the United Nations; and the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. He has lectured at the US Foreign service Institute and the Defense Intelligence College. From 1989 to 1991, he was Chairman of the Forum for U.S.-Soviet Dialogue. Dr. Habeeb has published in the fields of negotiation theory and Middle East studies, and has written numerous newspaper op-eds. He currently is a Fellow of the Middle East Studies Association and a member of the Board of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. Dr. Habeeb began his Washington career as a foreign policy adviser to former Senator Gary Hart.
