Elise Orellana

  Dr. Elise Orellana is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine in the department of Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology.


She received her doctorate in Anatomy from The Pennsylvania State University, College of Medicine. Dr. Orellana is the co-director of Medical Gross Anatomy and teaches in medical, special masters, and biochemistry graduate curricula. She has interests in using technology to aid learning and has developed a dissection video series and an anatomy mobile app. Dr. Orellana’s research interests lie in student retention of knowledge over time, specifically of anatomy coursework.
