Professor Ani Matson is an award-winning educator and marketing leader with over thirty years of experience in strategic marketing, digital transformation, and data analytics. She teaches In Search of the Big Idea and Foundations of Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies and serves as the Academic Director of the Georgetown Summer Business Academy. In 2022, she received the prestigious Tropaia Award for Outstanding Faculty.
Professor Matson is the Co-Founder of CMO Syndicate, a brain trust of C-level growth strategists who solve complex business challenges for CEOs, VCs, CMOs, and private equity firms. She has held executive roles at the National Education Association’s Member Benefits Corporation and S&P Global. She is a successful entrepreneur, having launched, grown, and sold a publishing company before she was 30.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Professor Matson holds a BA in International Relations from Clark University, an MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business, a Strategic Marketing Management Certificate from Harvard Business School, and an Executive Data Science Specialization from Johns Hopkins University.
Dedicated to community and industry, Professor Matson serves on EveryMind and Help Heal Vets boards and advises the Maryland Tech Council's Business Continuity Taskforce.
