Carol is the CEO of Blymire Communications where she provides thought leadership, positioning, strategic communications, and personal branding counsel to Fortune 100 corporations, national non-profits, celebrity foundations, and everything in between.


Prior to starting her own company, Carol worked in President George H.W. Bush's speechwriting office, served as corporate spokesperson for MCI and Fannie Mae, and ran international PR for Discovery Channel. She further honed her strategic communications chops at Cone with clients like General Mills, the NIH, and the Department of Labor.


Carol earned her BA in Communications and Psychology from The George Washington University, her Master's in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University, and her Master's in Business Administration from Western Governors University. She also completed two professional certification programs: the Harvard-MIT Public Disputes program (crisis communications and reputation management); and the U.C. Berkeley Science of Happiness at Work program. Carol is a volunteer with The Smithsonian Institution and NASA.


Carol is currently pursuing additional graduate education at the University of Maryland in the field of health sciences and thanatology.
