For the past nine years, Mr. King is a Real Estate & Facilities Practice Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Public Sector Practice (recently spun off and renamed Guidehouse LLP) focusing on delivering user/occupant focused Real Estate & Facilities (RE&F), Capital Project and Portfolio Management solutions to U.S. Federal Agencies and overseas Multilateral Organizations as well as commercial and institutional clients. Recent work includes the General Services Administration’s “Future of Facilities” engagement; NATO’s €1.25B, 2.6M SF headquarters relocation; Real estate acquisition process and global facilities management redesign for Microsoft; and facilities and installations sustainment strategies for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to his work at PwC, Mr. King led Sony Corporation’s Corporate Real Estate Division, for almost two decades. He was responsible for policy, planning, financial analysis, portfolio management, intra-company cooperation, compliance, regulatory and internal approval, transaction management and negotiation for the occupancy-focused real estate functions covering Sony’s US-based international businesses (e.g, Sony Music, Sony Pictures); encompassing 350 locations and 24,000,000 square feet of headquarters; field office; research & development; clean-room manufacturing; industrial; retail; aviation; film, sound and motion capture studio space; and specialized entertainment properties spanning 30 Countries, more than $5 billion in asset value and combined business unit revenue of more than $22.7 billion. His work focused on minimal risk and cost while maximizing value, utility and flexibility; delivering the facility resources necessary for business units to compete effectively, as a first priority, and delivering property financial performance as a second priority. He draws upon more than twenty years of industry leadership in corporate and institutional facilities; planning & development, executing and managing end-user property needs for a broad range of businesses, institutions, geographies and asset classes.
