Mohsen comes from a solid technical background with a strong interest in real estate finance and development. His area of expertise varies from quantitative analysis to project management.
Mohsen currently works as a consultant for a private real estate development firm. His focus is on multifamily and senior housing projects including market rate, affordable, and tax-credit deals in the Washington, DC metro region. As part of his initiatives, he is a consultant to the District of Colombia Housing Authority and directs the several rehab and renovation projects that the Agency performs on the buildings across its portfolio.
He has over 20 years of extensive experience in managing construction projects, creating feasibility studies, analyzing financial models, and underwriting real estate development deals. As part of his career, he also managed high-end development projects in Dubai while the city was rapidly growing.
Besides his professional experience, for the last 15 years, Mohsen has been lecturing construction and development courses in different programs including the Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate at Georgetown University. He also advises students on their capstone projects and assists them in the process of creating real estate development projects. Coupling the industry experience with the academic experience was rewarding as he could use his analytical and mentoring skills to their fullest.
Mohsen earned a master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in architecture, and a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
