For the past fourteen (14) years, Mr. King has been a Real Property & Facilities Practice Leader at PwC Public Sector Practice / Guidehouse Inc. (spun off from PwC in 2018, now operating as Guidehouse, a Bain Capital company) focusing on delivering user/occupant focused Real Property & Facilities (RP&F), Capital Project and Portfolio Management solutions to U.S. Federal agencies, multilateral organizations and commercial and institutional clients. Engagements include the U.S. General Services Administration’s “Future of Facilities” initiative; Real property portfolio strategies for the U.S. Department of State (domestic) and the United Nations (global); Delivery & Transition to NATO’s new €1.25B, 2.6M SF headquarters in Brussels BE; Campus recapitalization planning for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy; Real property acquisition process and global facilities management redesign for Microsoft; and facilities and building and infrastructure sustainment strategies for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to his work at PwC/Guidehouse, Mr. King led Sony Corporation of America’s Corporate Real Estate Division, for eighteen (18) years. He was responsible for policy, planning, financial analysis, portfolio & project management, intra-company collaboration & transactions, compliance, regulatory and internal approval, and 3rd-party transaction management and negotiation for the occupancy-focused real property functions of Sony’s North American Electronics businesses and US-based international businesses (e.g. Sony Music, Sony Pictures); encompassing 350 locations and 24,000,000 square feet of headquarters; field office; research & development; clean-room manufacturing; industrial; retail; aviation; and film, sound and motion capture studio space properties spanning 30 Countries, more than $5 billion in asset value and combined business unit revenue of more than $22.7 billion. His work focused on minimal risk and cost while maximizing value, utility and flexibility; delivering the facility resources necessary for business units to operate and compete effectively, as a first priority, and delivering property financial performance as a second priority. He draws upon more than thirty (30) years of industry leadership in corporate and institutional facilities; planning & development, executing and managing end-user property needs for a broad range of businesses, institutions, transaction types (including M&A portfolios) geographies and asset classes. Degrees and credentials include the following: Harvard University, Master of Real Estate Development, MDes; University of Maryland, Master of Architecture, MArch; Georgetown University, Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, BSFS; Licensed Architect, New York, 1986; Licensed Commercial Real Estate Broker, New York, 2010; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Accredited Professional, LEED AP, Building Design & Construction BD&C), 201.
