Andrew Manley
Andrew Manley has over twenty-five years of broad-based real estate experience in both advisory and principal roles. His background includes extensive transactional experience, including more than $8.5 billion in debt and equity investments, asset and loan sales, and loan acquisitions. His experience includes debt and equity capital formation and the underwriting, structuring, and asset management of debt and equity investments in all real estate asset types, performing and non-performing loans, and operating entities. He has also advised numerous institutions in debt and equity transactions, strategic planning, and asset management issues. Mr. Manley has also advised numerous creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy issues. Mr. Manley is the managing member of High Bridge Advisors, a real estate advisory firm specializing in capital markets, transactional, investment management, and restructuring matters. He was previously a managing director with Capstone Advisory Group where he was responsible for advising clients in the work-out and restructuring of commercial real estate loans, assets, and operating companies. Mr. Manley was a Senior Vice President with the Realty Finance Corporation, a public REIT, between 2005 and 2007. His responsibilities included the development of an investment management operation and the underwriting and structuring of mezzanine loans and joint venture and preferred equity investments nationwide. Between 1999 and 2005, he was a Senior Vice President with South Charles Investment Corporation, a Bank of America subsidiary formed in 1997 to make high-yield debt and equity investments. There he directed capital markets activities, including the formation and management of private equity funds and joint ventures and led the underwriting, structuring, and asset management of equity investments, mezzanine loans, note acquisitions, and other debt investments in transactions aggregating more than $2.0 billion. Prior to joining South Charles, Mr. Manley was a Consulting Manager with the Ernst & Young/Kenneth Leventhal (EYKL) Real Estate Group where he provided transactional, and capital markets advisory services. While at EYKL, he advised clients in numerous transactions, including the sale of performing and non-performing loan portfolios, and work-out and restructuring matters. He began his real estate career while still attending college in 1986 in commercial office and retail leasing. Education and Affiliations Mr. Manley holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and an MS degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He has taught undergraduate and graduate coursework in real estate finance and capital markets and has qualified as an expert witness and provided litigation support and expert testimony in several courts in matters relating to real estate valuation, sale and leasing transactions, capital markets, commercial lending, and bankruptcy issues. Mr. Manley is also a member of The Counselors of Real Estate and holds the CRE credential.
